Sterling Partners ^® - Montana is a Medicare Advantage Private Fee For Service Plan underwritten by Sterling Life Insurance Company. As a member of Sterling Partners ^® - Montana you can go to any doctor or specialist that accepts Medicare payment and accepts the terms and conditions of the Sterling Partners ^® - Montana plan.

With Medicare Advantage Private Fee For Service, Medicare beneficiaries can buy plans from insurance companies that include both Medicare-covered services and additional coverage. The company you choose will be paid by Medicare to provide coverage for your Medicare benefits. You will still be in the Medicare program and must continue to pay Part B premiums to Medicare. In addition, you will pay a premium directly to the insurance company for the plan.

A Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for-Service plan works differently than a Medicare supplement plan. Your doctor or hospital is not required to agree to accept the plan’s terms and conditions, and thus may choose not to treat you, with the exception of emergencies. If your doctor or hospital does not agree to accept our payment terms and conditions, they may choose not to provide health care services to you, except in emergencies. The Sterling Partners ^® - Montana plan covers both Medicare Part B and Part D prescription drugs listed in the Sterling Partners ^® - Montana formulary. A formulary is a list of drugs covered by the plan. As a member of Sterling Partners ^® - Montana, you must use a network pharmacy to receive your Part D covered prescription drugs.

This plan is unique. Sterling Partners ^® - Montana has contracted with two local hospitals: St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center in Missoula and Saint Vincent Healthcare in Billings. Even though Sterling Partners ^® - Montana has a written contract with these hospitals, you may still receive services from any hospital or healthcare facility eligible to participate in original Medicare. However, by selecting to use a Network Hospital and facilities you are assured lower cost sharing for some services.

As part of the Sterling Partners ^® - Montana plan, you will have access to a Sterling Care Coordinator. At your request, a coordinator will be available to help you with everyday healthcare questions as well as the more complex issues that can arise from time to time.
