Sterling has a strong interest in helping prepare governmental decision-makers for the future. Members of our
senior staff routinely offer their expert testimony at at congressional hearings and have a regular presence on
Capitol Hill. Sterling’s medical director is experienced in working with state and federal health policy. In 2003
she was one of only 27 people appointed by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary
Tommy Thompson to the Advisory Committee on Regulatory Reform. The purpose of this committee was to streamline
regulatory requirements at HHS agencies, specifically CMS.
Sterling’s goal is to work with employers, HHS and CMS to find new and better ways to improve the quality of
healthcare for a growing retiree population. With strong ties to Medicare-related policy issues and developments
on the forefront, we’re able to anticipate changes in the Medicare system for you—an invaluable benefit for your
company. And, you can depend on Sterling to remain committed to the Medicare market for the long term.
