Campbell will spearhead company's growing line of products for Medicare eligibles
Bellingham, Wash. - June 24, 2002 - - Debbie Ahl, President and CEO of Olympic Health Management Services, Inc.,
and Olympic Health Management Systems, Inc., announced today that James Campbell, a veteran sales executive in the
senior insurance marketplace, has been appointed Vice President, Agency, for the company's growing line of Medicare
products and services.
In this position, Campbell will be responsible for training, recruiting and supporting more than 250 captive agents
nationwide that sell Olympic's Medicare products. Olympic markets senior products underwritten by its sister company,
Sterling Life Insurance Company.
"Jim brings several unique strengths to our company," said Ahl. "We believe his expertise and experience in recruitment
of quality talent, in the training and development of sales agents and managers, in the consistent application of
sales and recruitment systems and techniques, as well as his innovative ideas and approach to selling, will further
enhance our sales program and help us to reach and exceed our company's sales and marketing goals."
Campbell's career in the senior marketplace spans more than 10 years. He began his career as an agent for United
American Insurance Company (UAI) based in Dallas, where he has spent his entire professional career to date. As an
Agent he was responsible for selling senior products such as Medicare Supplements, Life, Final Expense, and Long
Term Care Insurance, as well as Fixed Annuities, Cancer Insurance, and Major Hospital Insurance plans.
Because of his immediate success in this role he was promoted to Unit Manager in 1993. In his first year as Unit
Manager his team achieved the rank of 3rd out of 150+ units in the country. In 1995, Campbell was promoted to Branch
Manager of the Wichita office, which was ranked 57 out of 59 in sales for UAI. In his first year, Campbell guided the
office from 57th to 16th in the country and he was also honored as Rookie Branch Manager of the Year. In less than two
years, he became one of three Directors for UAI where in his first full year, he led all Directors in total production
and recruiting. Prior to joining Olympic, Campbell held the position of Senior Field Vice President with UAI.
"Jim's extensive experience with the same company is a reflection of his loyalty and his determination to help grow a
business, two assets which Olympic truly values," said Ahl. "He has impressed our company with his thoughtfulness,
his intelligent approach to the business, and his leadership. He will be a significant asset to our company."
